I've been at Fairford all day so wasn't able to post this until I've just got home, but as posted above:
- NOTAM wrote:

CTC FAIRFORD OPS EXTENSION 4065. 0730-0130, 18 MAY 07:30 2009 UNTIL 22 MAY 01:30 2009. CREATED: 17 MAY 18:30 2009 This is the NOTAM for the operation, Fairford is open between 08:30 tomorrow (18th May) until 02:30 on the 22nd May.
Of course the aircraft will be staying until the 23rd, but that will be under a seperate NOTAM.
From this NOTAM, I suspect they will be flying both daytime and night time missions.
HTH, Mike

http://www.kempsford.net/news/index.php[/quote[/url]] Certainly the main access from the Whelford end (East end) has a sign on it to that effect last night just before the 40mph limit by the turning for Whelford Pools so I'm guessing that road will be affected, although a 1000lb-er would do a lot of repairs to that road surface at the moment Looks like the most likely access to the East end will be via FFD Village but hopefully someone can update as and when they have the works in place.

Cheers, Neil. Nice shots Neil. They've been taking cargo (Firetrucks etc) and people out, so maybe some activity due there in the next few days?

Just out of interest, why would you think that? I would suggest he is referring to the post Razor61 made on page one of this thread (which incidentally was a joke) That said, there has been plenty of new rumours doing the rounds lately regarding a "draw down" at Ffd, and its a rumour which one day will turn out to be accurate
