Photo Of The Year Competiton
As 2008 draws to a close and 2009 begins the team are opening up a Photo of the Year competition.
The rules are the same as for the Photo of the Month competition, with one obvious exception - the photo can have been taken at any point during 2008.
Below is a recap of the rules -
1. One entry per user
2. Photograph must be taken during the year in question
3. Photo must be taken by the user themselves (or another family user who is unable to post their own, children for example, but please state on your entry if this is the case)
4. The picture can be anything you like as long as there is some military aviation connection.
5. The winner will be voted for by the Moderating team. Moderators will not be exempt from the competition, but cannot vote for their own entry.
6. To enter simply pick your best shot of the year and post the image onto this thread, together with information regarding the a/c pictured, location and date etc
7. Images can be 'photo-shopped' to some extent - cropping, sharpening, brightness tweaks, colour saturation alterations are all fine. The photo must retain it's initial subject however. Do not cut and paste aircraft from other photographs you have into your entry to make it look more interesting. If in doubt, please PM me or one of the other mods.
8. All images must be posted in line with the usual FC posting rules (Rules Clicky)
9. The competition will be open until 23.59 on 1st February 2009.
10. The winner will usually be posted within 72 hours of the competition closing
11. The rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.
12. The decision of the Moderating team is final, but let's keep this nice and friendly and see some cracking shots
For the winner –
The coveted ‘Photo Of The Year Winner’ status under their user-name for 1 year. A small feature on Air Scene UK Your photo will be added to the 'Hall of Fame' sticky
So get your shots out and post away!
Steve

Really struggling to pick one here, I am torn between about 10! In the end I have gone for this, taken at Legends 2008 at Duxford. I have called it 'Somewhere In England, 1940' -

A few highlights for me this year, mainly at RAF Waddington, the only time I saw the Vulcan fly. Also, the Raptor at RIAT on Fridays' practice day, but I've gone with the following, the last flight in the UK of the French Mirage 2000 at the RAF Waddington Airshow in July.
Cheers, Roger
