When i saw the Dartmouth Regatta on the calender, i couldnt remember seeing any photos from anyone from there so thought i would go and check it out as i had memories of when i was a little lad of the valley being very narrow. The reds got round this by tilting there display so instead of flying straight and level towards the crowd they were decending - led to a few nice shots which many arn't included in this post. Light was very nice - half the display area was in amazing summers light and the other half in a evening sunset glow. Anyway on with the pictures: (NOTE TO MODS: if the image size is too big could you say instead of deleting my pics, im having to just use photoshop now and i cant get them down from around 300kb...)
First the Merlin:
Then after the chinook (just the normal shots so won't bother posting) it was the reds: The reds turned up late and 3000ft high in their transit formations strobing...turns out they were waiting for red9 and after 10 mins they showed back up as 9:
Hopefully something a bit different - i know theres only so many you can take before they look the same...
Comments and tips most welcome - epecially how to get the file sizes down on photoshop CS3

Nice shots Rick, People do post photos of this event, or have done in the past from the elevated viewpoint across and looking down onto the mariner. Just that it is usually too far for most to go to just for a few aircraft.

Some good photos there. A tip for reducing the file sizes is to use:
File -> Save for Web and Devices
Then select JPEG and reduce the quality to around 80-85. You will see the output size in the box under the photo. I have had photos go fomr 300K to around 25-30K like this.

Dan, Thanks for that - i do already use that but anything less than 90 and you start to lose the detail....
