Can we have the old theme back please?

I would love the old forum theme back as this would tear the eyes out of anyones head! Thanks!

Sadly this is not possible.
Apparently it is now possible for ANYBODY to put together some code and run it on their computer and insert ANY forum written in phpbb it will display HIDDEN topics.
The forum server has not been hacked, and everyones usernames, and passwords are still safe.
Yes forum moderators do have hidden topics. Along with every other forum in the world.
So therefore I had to quckly change the forum software to another type and also change the skins.
1000 appologies. But I was informed of the situation 30 mins ago, So I have had to quickly sort this out.

Have to agree with Ringo. This theme is terrible. All the text overlaps.

Yes do a search on Google, Yahoo and MSN of various forum names, and it will show you all the pages that lists the topics and some of the content of the topics in the text.
Each search engine has a BOT and they appear on forums, even when you disallow them from your forum settings, they still access the forum using code.
This code can be written in any text editor and executed.
It can also be written in many programming languages with web features.

i have to say i dont like this new theme neither. dont like the black and feel new posts in different topincs dont stand out that well. would love something similar to the old theme.

Hopefully everything should be ok now.
Just tested this on an old laptop with a 12" screen, and everything looks fine.
Nothing overlaps, and I have now uploaded some of the old icons.
Rich has assisted with a few other cosmetic aspects and it looks really clear.
Especially on a 10 year old Toshiba Laptop.

I've not yet experienced this, but 2 people have said that there is a few items overlapping, but it was resolved when they pressed F5 to refresh.

Overlap issue fixed on this Theme. Looking good again.

Edit: Sometimes the username beside posts does not show. If i highlight the area where the name should normally be with the mouse, the name is actually there. In other words, sometimes the username is the same colour as the background.

No matter what you do to tighten the security of your forums, so hidden topics stay hidden, such as applying java script and C# code which can take up to 30 - 40 lines

im much happier with the white background but im having a lot of photos overlaping. but the white is much better than the black.

try logging off, clearning out your cookies with ccleaner.com then log back in again.

Ok there is still an issue with a few people seeing images that have the right hand side cut off.
This seems to be an issue that is caused by the developers of the skin.
The problem is because alot of this skin development is done where the coders have huge monitors. So therefore some people have said that it seems ok certain size monitors and others are not.
Currently I am working on a 12" laptop and a 15" monitor with different settings as it is unfair for me to use my monitor 19" to do the testing.

At the moment the monitor settings set to 1152 x 864 seems to be feasible on a 15" monitor.

I'm using a 19" monitor with settings 1280x1024 and everything seems fine here.

As a former computer programmer, one thing I had to take into account was screen design and monitor sizes.
However 10 years ago I was a COBOL programmer and 15" was the normal size, and then IBM came out with a 17" S-VGA monitor for the AS400. and RS6000.
It's ashame that nobody takes this into account, as many people here have computers that are nearly 5 years old and even older.

Hi, i seem to be having a little trouble with the new look,
this is in the photo section and what im getting on the fisrt photo i look at is only half the picture with a dotted line through it and the word quote in the photo half way down the right hand side.
the photos that following seem to be overlapping, subject matter half missing or wing tip/ tail missing.
i must say the old look i feel was better and clearer to veiw with no problems like im having at the mo.
