The 20/20 world cup starts today (c'mon England) and we're already a quarter of the way through the season county wise, any cricketing afficionado's care to offer any predictions on the world cup, ashes and any county winners??
Mine are:
20/20 World Cup - South Africa Ashes - England 1 Australia 2 (sorry still don't think we're good enough ) Lancashire to win everything county wise!!
I hope I'm wrong on the top two, you never know!!
Cheers,

and NOBODY likes to see that happen to the Aussies... do they now...??
Still agree 100% with those that think having Aussie overseas players in the county sides this year is just giving them time to acclimatise, if it was up to me they'd not be spending 2 weeks in Leicestershire either, they'd be on their way and come back when the rest of the test team make their way across in 10 days time. We live in a nanny state as it is, let's turn the screws where we still can

Hopefully the Dutch will do the Pakistani's today as well, both them and Ireland would be welcome additions to the Super 8's, they'll just be in the wrong group!! I'm with you in principle on the Aussie debate davem, the positive way is we can work out how to get Phil Hughes out..... I think he's used his run allowance for the year now anyway though!
As for bowlers, Brett Lee has had it, Clark hasn't bowled for months but they've got Hilfenhaus, Siddle and Johnson who seem to be quality, three people who can also swing the ball as well which could be a problem if there's any cloud/humidity over here in the summer, at least they've got a shocking excuse for a spinner though!
