Got the surprise of my life tonight just after I got home I heard what I thought was a helicopter but thought I was hearing things so just to be sure went quickly out to the garden and here going over heading South quite near Edinburgh was an RAF EH-101 Merlin and what a sight it was quite makes up for having to miss out on the Joint Warrior goodies from Up North, Merlin in my view is ONE of the best looking transport helicopters I have seen. it's callsign was VORTEX 394.
