Just heard a Typhoon had a bird strike today. Also heard there was a chute landing around lunch time. Maybe the same incident? Kev.

False alarm Kev it was the downdrift from ZJ800 BC "Gunfighter 1" that dropped the bird not a bird strike,Typhoon BC landed back with chute.

Cheers Kev. :) :) :) sorry to sound stupid but what do ya mean by the downdrift and he dropped the bird... i was there for the chute landing and emergency services dashed after him ...is that just standerd procedure when they use there chute

It was a suspected bird strike but no damage was found on landing.

must be very common thing with the jets when i came up yesterday saw couple of detached wings public side of perimeter fence but strange thing was the wings wasn't near runway they where behind the building nearest runway next to BBMF
