How to post a photograph at Fighter Control Vide
PostSubject: How to post a photograph at Fighter Control How to post a photograph at Fighter Control Empty2008-11-26, 11:31

This is the most common method used for posting a picture at Fighter Control.

1 - Resize the picture on your computer to a maximum image size of 800 pixels x 600 pixels. There are many resizing tools available on the internet for free. I recommend Irfanview http://www.irfanview.com/ as it is easy to use and it has some great extra features.

2 - Register with an image hosting site. The most common site used is photobucket http://photobucket.com/ as it is free to use.

3
- When you have registered with photobucket, you will have your own
album. In your album you will see an option to BROWSE your computer for
the image or images you wish to upload to photobucket. When you have
located the image, click UPLOAD. Your image or images will now appear
in your photobucket album.

4 - Under the image in your
photobucket album, you have four options. You need to click on the
fourth option titled IMG CODE. When you click on this link, the link
will go blue and the word COPIED will appear.

5 - Open a NEW
TOPIC in the photo album at Fighter Control. Give the new topic a name.
(example: Coningsby 17th March 2008). Then in the large blue area
underneath, write a few words about your pictures that you are showing.
Under your writing press CTRL V on your computer keyboard. This will
copy the link from your photobucket image into the space. If you want
to put more than one image in your post, just click on the IMG CODE of
every picture you wish to add. Please make sure when adding multiple
images that you copy the photobucket links underneath each other in
your post and not side by side.

6 - Click the PREVIEW button
at the bottom of the page. You can now review your post to check that
your images have appeared and all your information is correct. At this
point, your post will not be seen in the photo album. If you make an
amendment to your post, click PREVIEW again to check that your
amendment has been successful.

7 - Click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the page. Your post should now appear in the Photo Album.

NOTE:
If you delete or move your images in your photobucket account, they
will no longer be seen at Fighter Control, as this breaks the links
between the two sites.

I'm unable to post multiple images. Everytime I press the forward and backward buttons between the reply page and Photobucket site to img my images, I find that the reply page has been wiped when I return there. I never encountered this problem on the old FC forum.

Why not have 2 IE pages/tabs open 1 with FC and one with photobucket.

Then if you have IE6 you can use alt+tab to flick between them.

Or if you have IE7 or firefox then you can just click on the tab.

I've noticed this as well.

Seems to be a photobucket problem. You have to now highlight the entire string of code and right click and copy and then paste into here.

Sounds like an issue with Photobucket. Easy way to do it, is just copy and paste the text manually. ie/ Highlight the whole line of text yourself and right click copy, then paste straight into your post on FC.

Alternatively, in Photobucket, copy the direct link line of text, and paste it into your FC post, like so -

Quote :
https://2img.net/h/i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd258/wcfcfan/FFD%2015-2/DSC_0066.jpgp

Then, you can add, before each single photograph location the exact text - How to post a photograph at Fighter Control >At the end of each single photograph lcoation, add -

This should solve the issue got your FC posts anyway
