Subject: typhoon without wings? 2009-04-21, 14:38 |

Parked up on low loaders behind the BBMF was what looked like the body of a tiffie and various other parts on seperate low loaders didnt get too close as was driving anyone any ideas?

there is meant to be one going to duxford in bits (although from an unreliable source said it was already there) could be that one!

Hi,
Likely to be ZH590 as it has eurofighter markings on the side and appears to be a twin stick, no sign of the tail.

That indeed would be DA4, Crash and Smash loaded it yesterday and it departs Today (Wed) HTH Neil

So, Duxford is getting 590, interesting. The American crash Tiffie was reported back at Coningsby on PPRUNE earlier this month. Photographed on a lowloader covered in green tarp heading towards the HAS complex. Oh and the wings are at Brize apparently. Serial ZJ943. Andy

Even before both typhoons arrived from Warton they where ear marked to go to Hendon/Duxford but No one knew which one was going where at the time ;) Terry

Yes Andy (Boff180) posted a cracking shot of it hanging from the ceiling last year. Will be making a visit down there myself, because I don't actually have this one. Missed it when it went into CBY.
