Is Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 any good?

Hi I have photoStudio Editing package that came with my 350D and Zoom Browser and was woundering whether it was time to update my editing package.

With a budget in mind is it worth getting a better editing package and is the above Adobe any good.

Can a good editing package make a huge difference in your pictures?

Is adobe Photoshop any good or are there better at the same price.

I have just purchased a new Adobe elements 7 for £65 ,and so far so good. Remembering that this is only elements and not the full blown Photoshop (Which is in the region of £800)

Elements is as good as it is going to get for the price.

The good thing about Elements is the amount of support and tutorials that are available on the web.

I have used Photoshop through various versions since around 1992, and despite having tried other software packages I always return to Photoshop.

Elements is a cut down version of the software, but in my opinion it is all the imaging software most non-professional users would ever need. There is a huge amount of add-on software available and elements is simple to use. It is capable of producing complex layered images with a fantastic range of filters and manipulation techniques.

Buy it, you'll have no regrets.
