Whilst not wishing to 'plug' the book the latest edition of the Ian Allan MAM 2009 has a nice section matching aircraft codes to serials. Obviously this info is only as good as the day it was printed so will soon be out of date, however I understand that the author, Howard Curtiss, will be posting undates on the airnet website. Just recieved my copy from Amazon for the discount price of £5.99 (not the cover price of £9.99 !!) and yes they list Lynx 634 as XZ233.
