A fair amount of activity at Waddo today, with a French AF Xingu, Merlin mk.3A, a T67 Firefly from Barkston and at around 15:25 a Hawk in Red Arrows colours with what appeared to be an all blue tail with golden wings on it  Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. Also seen from afar was a Piaggio P.180 Avanti. Unfortunately I didnt get to see it up close which was a shame! Was it an Italian AF one or a civvi? any ideas on what it was up to?
Hopefully thats of some interest.
Thanks,
Andy :)

Cheers for the Hawk info Croaky, Its wierd how its got a black tail. Is it a new Reds aircraft thats just been sprayed or is it a tail from another hawk thats been fitted to it? What squadron marks did it have on the tail? Thanks in advance Andy :)
