Hi Glen.

69-5828 MC-130P
69-5825 MC-130P
69-5831 MC-130P
61-2667/OF WC-135W (White Top)
63-8879/D KC-135R
87-0024 MC-130H (Special Marked - Snoopy on Cockpit)
64-14859 C-130E

* Since my last visit (last year) a new fence has appeared blocking the view between the buildings and I noted two tails on the Mildenhall Road side. Managed to travel further down past the buildings and warehouses and picked these up. Possible that they were the two I noted earlier.

Good to see you again BOLLO !!!

Thanks for the reply Street Hawk. That is a good log and a succesful day but only if you get to Mildenhall occasionally. I personally am lucky enough to get to Mildenhall usually 1-2 times a week because i live within about an hours drive of the base, so for me i see most of those aircraft every week and unfortunately i saw 50148 and 21799 on friday, and have seen 23509, 80125 and 12667 already! So for me not a great day number or photography wise as there wasn't much moving around when we got there! Oh well, you win some, you lose some! And it is still nice to see some aircraft.

Anyway glad you had a good day

Cheers :)

Glen.

Went a few times last year and only got one C-5.

Can only do Sunday trips to the Hall this year.

My new scope is excellent becase I was able to read off "The Rock" which was on the control tower side and also 3 based tankers that were located at Folley Road end from Johns Field even at a 40 knot side wind. A bit of patience was requred in between gusts.

Just a slight amendment to my log relating to 58-0125 K-135T - Black Band "Fairchild"

It arrived PM.

Runway 29 was in use

Yeah the C-5's seem to be quite uncommon at times, but at others they seem to arrive in quantity - on the 18th January this year there were three lined up, one behind the other on AMC!

I am in the same boat as you, me and my dad can usually only do Sunday's and some Friday's. I might see you down there!

Sounds like your scope is worth its weight in gold then, not easy to read something by the tower off in those conditions, it was a pain trying to read it off on Friday due to the heat haze.

Cheers :)

Good log Streethawk, but your new scope failed you with MC130H 70024, the noseart is the moon with a bat superimposed on it.
100% for effort though!
Cheers Stig.
Out of interest 44129 C17A 305AMW in 2100 last night.

Hey that's not bad as I was looking at the plane, nose on between the buildings from where the WC-135W was parked up.
