Tornado only through on Thursday, and it was low. Yes Merlins were around several days. Second fence is the start of the 'rebuild' of Wyton, god help us, not due for completion until 2012 (the build, not the fence) !!!!!!

The rebuild is being done as J.A.R.I.C is being moved with a lot of other bits from Brampton. Although i am not sure weather or not that there moving anything from henlow. Does this mean once the rebuild is done there will be more airtraffic?

Once the new overground bunker is finished, Defence Intelligence (yes I know ) will be moving in. On the original plans there was to be a new helipad and regiment section but it's not there any more but there may be a bit more helicopter traffic. Fixed wing, I can't really see.

Heard that Marshalls may be moving there from Cambridge from a friend that works there, if that goes ahead it will be a bit more lively!

That's been talked about for a long while. The rumours say either Mildenhall or Wyton, although there's not yet been any confirmation either way, as far as I've heard. (Anyone?) The one thing that is supposed to be true is that Cambridge airport will close - all that prime building land so close to the city..... Time will tell!
