Dear all,
My name is Denis Peteri and I am currently working on a large database concerning the F-4 Phantom. Aim of this list is to know from every single phantom built, there whereabouts during it’s career, starting with the delivery up to the current status. Let me give an example of an F-4C-21-MC with FMS 63-7693: 63-7693 828 8TFW 1-feb-65 USAF delivery 63-7693 828 479TFW 1-nov-65 USAF 63-7693 828 431TFS 1-apr-66 USAF 63-7693 828 4525FWW 1-feb-67 USAF 63-7693 828 479TFW 12-mei-67 USAF 63-7693 828 8TFW 497TFS 30-mei-67 USAF 63-7693 828 366TFW 28-nov-67 USAF 63-7693 828 Ogden ALC 1-feb-68 USAF 63-7693 828 4453CCTW 1-mrt-68 USAF 63-7693 828 Ogden ALC 1-apr-71 USAF 63-7693 828 58TFTW 1-aug-71 USAF 63-7693 828 58TTW 1-apr-77 USAF unit name change 63-7693 828 163TASG 1-nov-82 USAF 63-7693 828 163TFG 196TFS 1-mrt-84 USAF unit name change 63-7693 828 Preserved March AFB 1-mei-87 USAF retired 63-7693 828 Preserved March AFB 1-sep-92 USAF 63-7693 828 Preserved March AFB 1-okt-93 USAF 63-7693 828 Preserved March AFB 1-sep-00 USAF 63-7693 FP 828 Preserved March AFB 23-dec-01 USAF newly painted 63-7693 FP 828 Preserved March AFB current USAF
At the moment I do have a document with more than 10.000 rows of information. Every row is representing a single phantom during a single period.
To reach 10.000 rows of Phantom information, was an awesome feeling, but to complete the database, I think I need at least 50.000 rows with information (as I suppose that on average this does mean that every single Phantom built, switched 10 times from operator during its career).
For the finalization of this database I need your help. It would be nice if you can send your database with F-4 Phantom movements to. I prefer to receive your file in a Microsoft Excel template, but other templates like Microsoft Word, Access or files in a .txt format are welcome as well.
I am especially looking for data before 1985; however data from trips after 1985 is welcome as well. I do know many of you visited for example the US in the past to spot military aircraft. It would be really nice if you share your LOG concerning the F-4 Phantom with me.
Preserved/Stored/Dumped/Maintained Phantoms, Stored Phantoms, United States Navy carrier visits, QF-4 drones, European based Phantoms, Asian based Phantoms, Australian based Phantoms, Phantoms form the Middle-East.
In case you decide to send me your LOG’s I am interested in the following data: Date of LOG, Serial, Code Type designation during LOG, Wing/Squadron or both and any other information that you have available (eg special markings). Even if you have only seen 10 phantoms, the informations is more than welcome!!!! In case you still doubt if your information is usefull, please let me know
Your help is much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Dennis Peteri
