Nothing much happens at Wyton these days but yesterday lunchtime Army 306 (AH-64) brought a big grin to my face. He called up while four miles north of Cambridge and requested a flyby down Wytons centreline. I popped out the front of the house and had a few minutes wait before he came in low over the hill at the back of St.Ives. A cheering sight for a bleak and cold day.

Poor bloke. I saw a load of Apaches there last year. Is that uncommon then?

RAF Regiment Depot, yes I know. The airfield is still used occasionally by rotarys, hence my question.

I remember GR1's at Honington like yesterday. An air ambulance and the odd helo from time to time doesn't seem much. Never mind, mustn't be greedy, Mildy and the heath not too far away.
