Anyone got an up to date list of which Hawks are based at Valley and which squadron they belong to?
TIA

Anyone know why XX247 doesn't carry the usual 19 Squadron markings?

Most of the RAF & Navy fleet of Hawks have been rotating with various other Sqns. Sadly I didn't make Leemings Families day last year as in 2007 they had 3 hawks that were with previous Sqns and sadly they were in the paint shop demarked and I wasn't able to get close enough to them to identify them from their ID plates.

That probably explains the lack of Squadron markings one some.
I had noticed a fairly regular swapping of squadrons with the Hawk fleet.

Steve Aside the ones that have been off for a modification to one of the radar systems, we do seem to get a fair share of 'shagged' ones in exchange for our decent ones Aside that I think a few are going into storage? Could be down to the high hours getting close to 'major' time and there being nowhere to do majors since st athan closed.
On another note, xx184 will be out soon having had its new black paintscheme applied instead of the spitfire scheme..

The first of two chosen airframes XX 195 & 201 is likely to enter the Paint Shop next week following the RAF Exhibition's Harrier which is currently in for re-refurbishment. The scheme already illustrated has had to be modified and further adjustments are being looked at to make a suitable paint job. The eye of Horus may be sacrificed as this will be a 4 FTS aircraft and would be unfair to favor a particular Squadron.
Once the first airframe enters the paint shop we have been invited to put a stage by stage picture board on the front page of our website as we did last year with both display and heritage Hawks
