Just on that point - what does the tail number mean? I noticed on a few photo sites that there was a GB on the tail on ZE161 but some years ago it would have been something else. Is this just a squadron identifier?

The tail number is ZE161, where as 'GB' is the tail code.
The tail code is a squadron identifier for 43 SQN marked aircraft which is 'G*'. A few years ago it will have had a different tail code due to it being owned by another squadron.
