Ok, I'm not technically competent enough to make this happen if it was a goer, but an idea for a forum or section would be viewing spots.
Maybe maps giving directions, pictures from google earth, where to get to good photography spots for each of the active airfields and airbases in the UK, maybe even further?
Maybe locations for viewing at events such as seaside airshows?
Just an idea, and surely others would know if it would/could work, and what could be done?

Links to external websites are being made as stickys to various bases where possible.

There is a guide using Google Earth images in the RAF Fairford section, I'm currently working on a Brize Norton guide too (when I get the time) and possibly a Lyneham one in the future. Mike

That Brize Norton guide is excellent, and along the lines of what I was thinking of.
The addition of the frequencies is good, all I was thinking of was a bit of a 'dummie's guide' but with all relevant information in it.
Excellent effort MikeB, thank you :)
