At the minute i still have the standard lens that comes with the canon 400D efs 18-55. I was just wandering if there was a better lens for the camera one thats sharper etc?.
I'm sorry its not a pic of a plane but have'nt had that lense at a show yet, Just to show whats its like at the min:

Really depends on your budget, and what you plan to use it for. The Sigma 17-70mm is quite a good lens and definatly sharper than the standard canon kit (well mine is anyway) If its for Static aircraft and you have a bit more money available it might be worth considering the canon 10-22mm or the Sigma 10-20mm?

I'd recommend the 17-70 too, a damn sight sharper than the Pentax 18-55mm, and better aperture values, 2.8 - 4.5 instead of 3.5 - 5.6
