The 2 Tornados did more local sorties on Thursday before dissappearing back to Lossie late afternoon - and were unsure if they would get in until they actually got there ! It was a glorious day for photos on Wednesday !

I have a few additional "bits' from this week:- Monday - a Typhoon and a couple of F15's reportedly did overshoots. Merlin ZJ127 visited. There was a Typhoon on the end of the 19squ line when I arrived in the dark but it had gone by 7pm ? Tuesday - Tucanos ZF142 and ZF170/MP-A and the 7 RAFAT Hawks night-stopped (Pilots in for the Simulator, snow at Scampton stopped them from coming last week) plus FRADU Hawk XX159 visited. At 16:07 a single FAF Alphajet overshot - presumably E156, the last of the Baldonnel arrivals ? Wednesday - Nice new Merlin ZJ998/AE Thats about all from me for this week, anything else around ?

It would seem from conversation over at the paint shop that RN/FRADU are marking up several of their Hawks with anniversary marks, they initially where going to be done at Valley but Culdrose could cope so look forward to seeing more of them. 3rd Hawk Mk 2 arrives this pm for inspection of instructors/crews and staying until Monday for HRH to inspect then will depart back to Warton during the afternoon
cheers Dick
