C5 Emergency landing

Location : Doncaster Spotter Watch Member : Yes

C5 00466 Has just landed at Mildenhall with inflight Emergency.

Crew called up AMCC but were transferred to Tower and reported Fuel leaking out of a CH53 on board.

Full role out of all Fire Service and advised C5 to hold at the end of the runway once landed.

It has now parked up on main Terminal with both cargo doors open to vent the fuel vapour I presume.

i saw this c-5 while i was doing my driving lesson i thought there was something wrong

you rarely see a c-5 that low around here only the kc-135's that are always going over when u see somin that big and flying that low its a bit odd

I do see the odd C5 on long finals to Mildenhall ILS 11, in this one, it was routing Germany > Navpi > Nalax, then diverted in, so came low over me heading inbound for 11, If I'd gone out the front of me house. I'd have got it a lot sooner, but i whent out the back, Roll Eyes

by the time i got out the front it was well past me and about to turn on a 20 mile final..

Oh well, cant win em all. lol!

Location : Dunholme, Lincoln.

Came over Lincoln heading southeast its the lowest ive seen a C5 over Lincoln normal at lest 28fl
