No visitors noted,weather disrupted flying.Runway closed to any fixed wing traffic.
Bell 212 ZK067 was operating as 'HOTEL102' and A109E G-BZEI operating as 'WHISKEY122'
As mentioned at the end of the January logs Squirrel ZJ251 was noted operating again following its loan to 670sqn at Middle Wallop.

Much the same as above, no visitors and runway closed to any fixed wing.
ZK067 operating again as 'HOTEL102' G-BZEI operating again this time as 'WHISKEY121,122 & 123'
Two 8FLT A109's routed south to north through the overhead at 11.30am onroute to the Manchester low level corridor. From Hereford to Glasgow Heliport via Carlisle. Reported as ZE410 & ZE412 '1IJ14 PAIR'.MANTMA & SCOTAVNET groups have their ids by colourscheme.
There was a recall of based choppers mid afternoon following an incident at Ternhill, a DHFS Squirrel is reported to have rolled onto its side during a heavy landing. Crew walked away and are ok. An ID of the chopper is known,I wont post yet till it is ok to do so.

2 x GAZELLE 'AAC712 COMBINE' XX447 to store x 671 Sqn other one as crew ferry. Departed as 'AAC736'.

An as yet u/d Squirrel HT2 visited as 'AAC219'.
As far as I know, no other visitors.
As is usual A109E G-BZEI was operating as 'WHISKEY122' and Bell 212 ZK067 as 'HOTEL102'.
As per Scarecrows posting, the other A109E G-EMHB is now back at Shawbury.Arriving back as 'G-EMHB' from Liskard on the 10th February, it was cancelled from the civil register on the 10th to the Ministry of Defence. :afro:

G-BZEI operational as 'WHISKEY101/122',carried out an approach at Hawarden.
ZR324 (ex G-EMHB) noted. Still in civil colours but with RAF Roundels and serial. :study:

Two as yet unidentified Chinooks carried out PAR approaches inbound to RAF Stafford to land.Both broke off approaches once below cloud, so may well remain unknown. If anyone can help?.

Pegasus 1-2 in Leeming today were ZD574 & (ZD982) DF. should be the same two.

On the 19th Hawks XX234 and XX175 diverted in as 'Mustang 1+2'. 2 more u/k arr and dep as 'Obi 1+2', presume to pick up the crew of XX234. XX175 dep as 'Mustang 2'. XX234 did'nt dep today.
Today B212 ZK067 dep back to Middle Wallop as 'AA260',visiting was Sq HT2 ZJ2TBN 'AA 207'. He arrived from MW, before dep to a site near Market Drayton before weekend stopping at Shawbury.
An Gaz poss (XX405) 'AA 019' also visited from Hereford this morning.
A109 ZR324 flew a sortie to Brize for a PD as 'W 122' this afternoon.
Also moving about was Sq G-CEYO which flew to the compass base as 'TS101'.

Arriving for storage today was Gaz AH1 XX442/E as AA 736 COMB with ZB691/W as pax, dep as AA 727.
4 Griff's dep to Honington for a few days,'S' SY 106,'X' SY 88,'O'SY97, plus a TBN as SY 60.
Hawk XX234, which diverted in on Thurs, dep this afternoon as VYT 06. :afro: EDIT 'VYT06' declared a PAN with engine vibrations on return to Valley, so obviously all was not well with this particular machine.

XX445/(T) 'AA712 COMBINE' TO STORE FROM NETHERAVON ZA726/(F1) 'AAC727 COMBINE' TO STORE FROM MIDDLE WALLOP ZB673/(P) 'AAC727 COMBINE' TO STORE FROM MIDDLE WALLOP
XZ294/(X) arrived with XX445 as 'AAC712 COMBINE'.Acting as a crew ferry for all three arrivals it departed back to Netheravon via Middle Wallop as 'AAC742'.
Its reported that Gazelle pod XW851 has departed for disposal.

xx 234 was a 208 sqn hawk which was on an emergency state 2 for a locked in engine surge it left monday at 1500 ish after i gave it an engine change and full power run and failed air test for vibes at 18000 ft no idea why but engine passed its vib run on ground

6 Flt's Gaz's, last 2, are due store next week at the end of an era. :( :( :(

27/02/09 Visiting today was 8flt Dauphin ZJ780 arriving as'1RW12'.It flew a local sortie as '1RH57' to the east.Visiting Swynnerton & Ternhill.It departed Shawbury at around 2pm as '1RW12' back to Hereford. As scarecrow says it seems 6flt flew its last sortie today. AAC788 was heard operating to the south of the airfield on a photographic sortie which included taking photos of shawbury airfield.
