Hi All What is the best setting for DPI (Dots Per Inch) when reducing your shots to 800 x 6oo for posting onto the Web. I find anything below 350 tends to lead to poor quality on the final image any thoughts?. APC

resize to 800-600 and make the image file size below 250kbs . this works well on the web. would not worry to much about the dpi. 72 works fine .

As far as I know, 72dpi is about all a conventinal monitor can display, therefore in Photoshop a 72dpi image vs a 300dpi image should look no different whatsoever. The only time I ever use 300dpi is when I'm sending stuff to magazines, either as adverts from work or as private submissions as this is the resolution that publishers use. HTH Dave.
