Im not the best photograper in the world and Im new to taking Photos of Aircraft, but I seem to be taking alot that are not that crisp, shall we say!

I have a Canon 450d with a 300 tamron, so Iam getting some good results but theres always that odd one, So are there any good photo suites you would say are worthwhile buying , so i can do some tweaking!

Or would it be a waste of cash??

For that Crisp shot (I assume Jet's) I would up your shutter speed, 600 - 1000.

If you are in ISO 100 and your unable to up your shutter speed to that high setting, then try ISO 200, and keep on increasing.

In decent light you want to go no higher than 200 ISO. Bad light ie cloud you can start off with ISO 200 - 400.

Also practice on your panning techniques. Start firing off a few shots, instead of the odd 1 or 2.

Helicopters and prop aircraft you can use shutter speed from 50 to 220.

And go out and buy this book. You will learn more from it than any other book. Very easy reading. ;)

Hi

The supplied software with the Canon 450D (ZOOMBROWSER EX) is excellent and has a sharpening tool select your picture press the edit button and select sharpening. Now select unsharp mask set radius to approx 0.5 and slide the amount bar between 0 and 100 you will be amazed ay the results.

APC Cheers
