23580 KC135R , had 940ARW on the nose and 916ARW on the boom.
Any idea as to why,bit confused as to which it belongs too??

I don't know the answer to that one, I usually go by what's on the boom fins in the absence of tail markings.
23580 was with 459ARW at Andrews until at least June 08.
It seems unlikely it has been with two units in the mean time!
I'll see if I can get more information on this.

Don't know if you know Stig,1 one of the USMC C130's went out for a 20min jolly after most had legged it.And both have now departed .

Thanks for the info Bollo if you check my log I do mention Ranger72s test flight.
I heard both fly over my house on the way out today!
As for 23580...it's with 916th ARW/77th ARS/AFRC at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC.
It was with 940th ARW/314th ARS at Beale (last noted in Jan'08 but that unit disbanded 30.5.08. It was apparently noted with 77th ARS/916th ARW in
Feb'08 but it was definitely with the 459th ARW/756th ARS at Andrews AFB in
Jun'08 and still with them in Sep'08 (I have it on 04.9.08 calling 'DEECEE 31'), but this may have just been a loan, as it's now back with 916th ARW (noted 15.11.08 calling 'Backy 71'; again on 29.12.08 calling 'Backy 77' and as recent as 16.1.09 as 'Backy 92') so although it's not been painted up properly yet and may still wear it old unit marks on the nose, it's with 916th.
