Copyright symbol and how to get one?

Location : Lincolnshire

Just a quick question to the masses. How do you get the copyright symbol to appear when adding text to an image. Is there a certain function on the keyboard? Also, I am using a PC not a MAC if that makes any difference.

Hightlight the one below and use Ctrl-C to copy it. Then paste it into whatever.

Click on Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and choose CHARACTER MAP.

This will give you every single ASCII character.

I used to know alot of ASCII characters off by heart as I used to be a COBOL programmer by pressing and holding the alt key down and typing in the 3 numbers from the numeric pad.

Thanks for the replies. I have sussed it out with your help. Ensure Num Lock is on then hold down Alt + 0169 from the numeric keys on the right hand side of the keyboard. Works a treat.

I always put a copyright notice on my images, even though images can still be stolen at least you've made the effort and if you need to sue for copyright theft you can say your images were copyrighted. I once had an image stolen by the History Channel and used in one of their TV programmes, that had my copyright notice on it and this was removed!! It helped when I came to sue though!

Another kind of simple way is to open an empty (new) document in word, type in the copyright symbol along with the text and save it. Step 2: when you want to enter your copyright onto the images in say, Adobe Photoshop, you open the word document, copy the line of text from it and past it into the open image in Photoshop.

CTRL + ALT + C on PC will give you the symbol too

CS3 has a couple of really neat little 'invisible' copyright messages - invisible that is until someone tries to save and load them again or save and then print them and then the copyright message appears. Goodness knows how it works but just do a search in the help menu for 'copyright'.

Hi PX367, it got to the point of them offering me money and then when it came for them to pay I found out that the production company that made the programme had gone bankrupt Mad

I gave up after that.
I suppose I could still sue the History Channel but it took me over a year to get as far as I got. You wouldn't believe the wriggling they did as well. If I ever see the programme retransmitted though I well definitely start the whole process up again and sue the History Channel.
