The trouble and strife returns to work on Monday, but I imagine it will be BITS stuff for a few days, before Test flying commences? Depends who needs currency!

I will be up there Monday from 1200 ish, but im not expecting much.

the corner was a bit moist, so ive been found loitering on the mound, however after all this dry weather, I might wonder down to the corner spot - ive got a Blue T reg Xsara with a go faster scratch on the bonnet!

As well as The Mound there is a green painted Pavillion(shed) which is approximately 120 yards from the runway on the southside of the runway about
400 yards from the mound and 100 yards from photographic corner it has heating
and hot refreshments from time to time it also has excellent views of The Warton Airfield.

Under the shed are kept a number of step-ladders including Holtys which can be borrowed. The green gates appear to be locked but the padlock is US and just appears to be locked you just pull it away and it opens. This info applies to everybody on Fighter Control.

Thanks very much! Hopefully I'll get down there sometime soon, I take it it's by the 26 threshold you mean?

Hi Guys!
I was in Longton today & a fast jet flew overhead from the SE tracking NW towards WTN medium level at around 1525 local. It sounded like a Tornado & looked as though he has his wings were at full sweep. Any ideas who or what it was?
I've been on the 'Overhead' forum & it looks as though it maybe 'MRH 48'.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

As expected today was dead, only Mil movement was Saudi 600 (tail is 473), A C130 arriving at around 1400 on runway 08, also heard on the RT it will be off loaded tomorrow - what ever 'it' is!

Avro 04 was also due out with Avro 06 (BAE 146) as chase, but cancelled due to the runway being wet and them being extremely heavy (mentioned '75' when asked on the RT how heavy he was, I take it thats Tonnes?)

Tomorrow should be a better day ;) , if they can get the taxiways and runway de iced, baring in mind the -6 forecast for this region tonight.
