The problem with USN transports has got worse recently as virtually none of them carry any unit markings. The call signs sometimes gave a clue but sometimes refered to the crews' unit rather than the a/crafts', but now they are using all using a CONVOY c/s followed by a four figure code. Which means you can only guess at the accuracy of unit allocations. Bring back unit markings, I say, RAF please note! Happy New Year, Stig.
