Spent the day at Coningsby today. Foggy this morning and didn't lift until lunchtime; even then the day remained murky and cloudy with a bit of drizzle here and there and cold all day.
Visibility must've been below limits this morning and there were no launches at all until after 12. Any observation errors will be blamed on the fog! On the ASP were::
Typhoons: ZJ802 BB ZJ800 BC and ZJ805 BD. Also ZJ911 BZ.
17 squadron had ZJ912 AB and ZJ913 AC plus the two uncoded FGR4's ZJ946 and ZJ947
Plus Harrier ZG503 and Tornado ZD739. ZJ811 DZ was also lurking, as was Chippy WK518.
at 11.40am ZJ917 QO-G, ZJ921 QO-H and ZJ920 Q-OA all landed. As I'd seen nothing leave the base I'm presuming these are the returners from Grosetto.
12.30: Tornado GR4 ZD739
12.35: ZJ800 BC
12.40: ZJ924 DD & ZJ933 DF
12.50: ZJ916 QO-U
12.55: ZJ810 BI & ZJ939 DXI (both from HAS area)
1.25: Harrier GR9 ZG503
2.10: ZJ805 BD and ZJ911 BZ
2.15: ZJ802 BB
2.25: GR4 ZD739
2.30: ZJ946 & ZJ947
3.30: ZJ941 DG & ZJ916 QO-U ZJ924 DD & ZJ933 DF
After a dead first half of the day it turned out to be ok in the end. Saw the 3 squadron returners, the new uncoded jets and BI in the air again.

Yeah, he seemed to be 'faffing about' for a bit after his final of several landings, taking off vertically for about 50 feet a few times and then just sitting back down again! I was at the 26 end so didn't get a close-up view/warm-up sadly. :rendeer:

Yeah, I didn't stay for the return of DG QO-U DD and DF. Sounds like they had a busy evening. I bet today was a busier day than Tuesday!
