Quite a catchy title don't you think Hello, Yesterday evening i went to Brize to try and catch some planes during the sunset. Hopefully theres something here thats a bit different, heres my efforts 1. Follow the leader
2. The giant C17 globemaster iii
3.Touchdown
4.Very low tri-star
5. Bit of an arty shot
6. Some hardcore cows were'nt bothered about the planes
7.
8.couple more arty one's and 2 of my car
9.
10.
11. Giant bird atacking tri-star
12. A couple from Lew hill
13.
14.
15. And the reason i went for the sunset unfortunetly it was fairly cloudy but the VC10's saved the day
16.
17.
18.
19.
Thanks for looking

Oh come one, ease up a bit. It's just a bit of fun and there are plenty of aircraft pictures in there aren't there? I think it's harmless and shows a bit of flair. Some real good shots in there. Do you want him to remove the one with the cows in too..?

Some crackers in there, not fussed about the car, nice to see that some old bangers are still road worthy

Looks like it was well worth the trip mate, will have to meet up sometime as you never seem to be over there at the same time. Any way some great shots there and i have no issue with the car infact gives quite a nice touch to it.

some nice shots, the roller skate - shopping trolley - toy car thingy doesn't bother me either. when i got my first mini and could actually drive to far away airfields i used to take snaps of it in front of planes as well. Then the floor fell out due to rust. i've got a nice little engine sat here being guarded by the dog that would drop in just nice. and it could be worse, could be a photo with flaps in it. and those cows look cold.

Gentlemen, clearly I'm wasting my time here - just answer me one question: What would you be saying if it were a civil aircraft instead of a hot-hatch.
The place for 197CUP's car photos is here in my opinion, assuming that it counts for anything at all.

Clearly there is a military aircraft in the picture is there not.A different style of shot i will grant you.But the aircraft is there.
I do take your view into consideration though. And will discuss your concern with the team.I would ask for any further comment to be passed to me direct or another Admin thanks.

Rob i actually agree with you, i do like to see photo's of mil aircraft that are placed in context and with a bit more than just a technical record shot, but when the main subject is not the mil aircraft then it should really go where you say in non aviation shots. if it was a dirty civvy as the main shot but just happened to have a mil behind then it would have to be a rare catch or something to justify it. as i said i don't mind, but we shouldn't let standards slip Geoff

The photos in this thread are different and adventureous maybe the car isn't to everyone's taste but if you start getting too pedantic then perhaps, for instance my Tiger Meet thread or sunset shots at the hall should be sieved through to eliminate "non aviation" subjects, such as a Frenchman in a Tiger suit getting in the way of a Mirage. I think the worst thing we could have on the photo forums would be pure spotting with a camera which can get very tiresome if 20 people have been to shoot the same couple of rare aircraft! I would guess most of us really enjoy the experiences we have whilst following aviation. Putting this over to our friends and colleagues with photos makes it all the more enjoyable and I for one love the sheer variety of approaches used by the very talented and enthusiastic membership of FC. Long may they continue to be inventive. Stig. PS. There is a picture with Flaps on it but they are attached to a VC10!

I thought it was Fighter Control not Top Gear. You have a very nice car chap and you are proud of it.The trouble is you put it in nearly every post you do,why? You take some very nice shots of jets but seeing your motor gets a wee bit,it deflects from the jets.Just my thoughts.Cracking shots of the jets chap.
