Aviation Museum Wernigerode Germany - PICTURE HEAVY

Due to lack of current images, here are a few from 2007, when I paid a visit to the Luftfahrtmuseum (Aviation Museum) in Wernigerode, Germany. It's a small but fine museum, with two display halls but has quite nice displays and you can actually see some restoration work in progress while strolling through the displays. They offer everything from a small modelling section, to aircraft engines, fixed-wing and helicopters on display, cockpits, as well as some former East German equipment. Wernigerode is in what used to be East-Germany, but it's right in the western part of it, near the Harz Mountain region.

Pictures were taken with a small pocket cam and I apologize for the lack of quality in some of them. I hope to be able to get back there next summer and see if and what may have changed. You won't be able to spend an entire day here, but if you are in the area, it's well worth a visit.
