Hi all,
Lastnight I was flicking through the sky TV programmes & came across an excellent programme about the story of the EE Lightnings that went to Thunder City in South Africa. it was 00.15 & I missed the first 15 mins of it but will keep an eye out for a repeat.
The prog was called 'Aviation, Thunder & Lightnings, Informative Stories About The Lightning Fighter Planes. It was shown on channel 270 SA direct. http://www.southernafricadirect.com/schedule/index.html
It's worth keeping an eye out for again, as it really was a good prog.
Sorry I didn't mention it at the time

Heads up all!
The Lightning programme as detailed above is to be repeated again tonight at 00.15, or should I say the early hours of tomorrow morning . Sky channel 270.
Definitely well worth a look!

 Iv been looking at the schedule dayly trying to spot it! Ive missed it the past 2 times its been on!!

I saw that program, purely by chance. Absolutely cracking program, just makes you want to spit fire at our CAA for not allowing them to fly over here. Its a must see

Agreed - it also gives good coverage to the Hunters and most of all Buccaneers at Thunder City.
The programme seems to be repeated every couple of days, and has been for weeks now.

That sa direct channel is very good, i was watching a program the other night on a air display team. Think they were using shooting stars i did not see it all but im looking out for a repeat. Theres also a good series on 4x4 and off roading if anyones intrested in that called four wheel drive
