Great nostalgic pics, regular low level visitors in these parts, remember them doing a mock attack on Swansea aerodrome, was working in the tower block of DVLA and watched them thundering past the window halcyon days.

Spent many an hour at Heyford watching non stop swinger action!

Then it was over to the Heyford bowling alley for a cold one and a proper Burger 'with the world on it' !!!

Just love those F111s

I will never forget the day they won the bombing competion at Donna against the A10s. They formed up in a four ship for a Wheels check anf flew two each side of the Tower from North End car park. The sight of them coming at the Tower as we stood on the balcony then splitting either side and passing by lower than the Tower will live in my memory for ever. OH HAPPY DAYS.

Just love those F111's! They remind me of some very happy times, watching the 9:30 am departures - usually about 9 or 10 ship and then the EF111's from the 42nd ECS. What a fantastic place, I still miss it! Pity you can't get VHS on here, I have loads of video from Heyford!
