Around 1800 local time, an Iskra came over the radio saying he had no gear. He did 2 passes and then declared he was going to do a belly slide. He bounced once and slid in real nicely. I will post some images, but we were about 300 meters away. Usually we are on the runway grass, but new restrictions this year caused us to move. I have to upload them this evening or post them with other images.

There is also some video footage of the landing, but the local news has control of it at the moment. If I find the link I will post that as well. I am sure it will be on youtube or something along those lines soon enough.
40 years of flying experience paid off big time for this guy. Shame of it is that the pilot has been trying to sell his other TS-11 for 2 years now in order to finance this one and keep it flying. The other one is in bad shape and most likely not airworthy. He may be stripping one down to repair the other.

Here is the youtube link for the video. The guy filming is not very bright, but we don't watch the video for the sound.

Hey Jason, yes, the guy filming really did say that. I was probably 10 feet away from him when it happened. Had I been listening to him instead of the tower, I would have smacked him for all of us. I will hopefully load more images from the show and a quick review shortly. I have not had time to edit, but it seems that photobucket does not want to upload my images. It says they are uploaded and nothing happens. Time to find a new place to load them and then I will post.
looking forward to next year!
