Mildenhall Air Fete 1998

Another Air Fete. This time the date stamp on the back of the prints tells me it's 23/05/98, so I'll go with that! Once again it's the APS format, and once again I'm disappointed at the quality of the scans as a result.

Nice ...think that was the last Mildenhall I went to . The F-18 was part of a deployment to Leuchars

Ah yes I remember it well - 1994, 1997, 1998, 2000 the 4 Air Fetes I went to, unfortunately health reasons mean't I didn't manage 2001 and 1999 well the Airshow was over Kosovo wasn't it.............

Air Fete '98 - A-10, F-15E Strike Eagle and F-16 formation, the F-15C and Mustang formation after the F-15C Eagle USAF Display Pilot from USA in a Lakenheath C Bird, A Mildenhal based Special Ops Demo and the Turkish Stars. Not as good as 1997 but it was still as ever a well staged Airshow as the Yanks at Mildenhall always knew how to stage an Airshow great times, memories etc...........Still a much missed event Air Fete.

Those were the days, lots of happy memories there. We used to camp on teds field at the end of the runway (west row end). They should realy bring it back.

remember a couple of Years camping at the Mildenhall Upper School, - I also will always remember a Pub sort of Restaurant type of place in the Area I used to go to when I was down in Mildenhall anybody else remember which that would be?
