F-15 delivery mishap

Hi all,

can anyone tell me the serial of the F-15E that crashed on delivery at lakenheath (i believe the undercarriage gave way),

If you are talking about the one that was returning from Red Flag in 2000, it was 97-0203.

Looking at the numbers i have for LN, i have a gap between 96-0202 and 96-0204, was it therefore 96-0203?

I've seen a few sites all saying it was 97-0203

i found an article about it on the web - http://usaf.aib.law.af.mil/F-15E_Lakenheath_12Sep00.pdf

it was 96-0203 which explains one of the 'gaps' in my lakenheath F-15 list.

I've just looked at the link I put up, and in the last picture you can actually see 96/203 on the tail - not sure where the 97-0203 came from. F-15 delivery mishap 727888
