Seen on a quick visit Thursday morning were the following Chipmunk WP901 (B) Take off with Two circuits before departing Bulldog ????? (B) Taxiid out then made a steep climb out before heading towards Newark Jetstream XX494 Ex Cranwell and believed to be here for cadets to work on? Shadow R 1 ????? I believe this is still here as there was a white one in the Citation Hanger. There were two other Beech aircraft in the new Hangers as well. Both white. Can anyone confirm please MTIA Rob

Rob If you actually mean Beech 200 ZK457, then it departed on 20th August.

Is Gamston, its various hangars, aviation company's and aircraft owners 'spotter' friendly? Does a polite request to look around gain entry or can most things be seen 'over the fence' Would I be correct in thinking that a midweek visit would be best.

Hi, Gamston isn't very spotter friendly on a turn up at any time basis. But, If you phone "skytrain" on 01777-838202 there is a person who does guided tours of all the hangers for £5 per person, money goes to Charity cheers xm594 ps. some a/c can be seen from outside but it depends on the weather and luck. Midweek is better because the serviceing hangers are usually closed at the weekend, between 50--70 a/c are usually on base

It was there on monday taxi-ing about and back into the Cessna Hanger at Gamston. It was sat in there with 2 Citations on Tuesday (08.09.2009) too It was using Civi pilots .... In number 4 hanger there was the Jetsream & JP You can see the beast by going thro Gamston and taking the Eaton rd (Heads towards A1) and after about 2 miles you can look into all the hangers
Its boring its all white with the reg crudely on the tail .... just a boring but rare SKA
