Sea King 137 is assisting Lochaber M.R.T. getting to there possitions on the Ben Nevis foot path. Today is the day that the Ben Nevis race is run, there is normally a Sea King on Standby just incase any of the runners get into trouble. In the last couple of years it has been Navy 177 from Prestwick, But its the RAFs turn today. The weather is not very good with gusting south westerly winds and rain, The cloud cover is overcast at 1800ft. Doug

Well Sea King 137 changed callsign to Rescue 137 as it went operational. One spectator and one runner got into difficulty while decending the path. The runner was cold and started to become confused. The spectator started to suffer from sore knees and hips. They were lifted from the path at Windy Corner and taken to the landing sight in Glen Nevis. Have a look at this link for the pics. http://fightercontrol.forumotion.com/recent-photos-f3/rescue-137-5-9-09-ben-nevis-race-t15065.htm Doug

Climbed ben nevis this year hard to get up but its worth it. When you get to the top even better when a tornado gr4 flies by when you are half way up
