The prospect that U.S. Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal may ask for as many as 45,000 additional American troops in Afghanistan is fueling growing tension within President Barack Obama's administration over the U.S. commitment to the war there.

I know this war is a serious subject but we could bring our troops home tomorrow if us and the yanks rounded up all these gun toting gangs shooting up our towns and cities and shipped them out there. Hell the Taliban wouldn't know what hit them. 500,000 brainless armed retards with no rules of engagement running riot. They would be begging for a peace treaty within a month. I agree...send all these low-life scumbags who go around with knives and guns,thinking they rule the streets,out to Afghanistan and Iraq,too much civil-liberties and human-rights in this country stick up for them all!!!..if they don't obey the law,respect others,try and get a job,and if they don't do any of this,they should be rounded up,put in a field,and bomb the Bas***ds.

One of the youngest sons of notourious hard nut family on our estate joined the Grenadier Guards after getting into some serious trouble.

First tour of NI, and he went AWOL, never been seen since. But I agree. Badlads Army should be compulsary for young offenders.

If Hesseltine had become Prime Minister, he would have definately brought back National Service and start it from 16 years old and have press gangs. Compulsary 2 years where they get a further education and learn a skill or trade, and then have the choice of becoming a regular or going back into civvy street in an established trade.

Afterall most European Countries still have a national service.
