Well I know it's fashionable to sneer at BB but I've enjoyed every show (and I watched every one of 'em) since it started twelve weeks ago (and yes I watched every other series too). I don't consider myself as sad for doing that (not that I care what anyone thinks in any case!) - I just have the capacity to decide for myself what is worth watching and what isn't. Unfortunately, it seems that the Great British Public can't manage to exercise choice unless it's fed to them by the media. Heaven forbid that anyone could think for themselves.

There's a great misconception (fed by the media of course, thanks to the semi-literate halfwits that write the TV columns) that watching people doing nothing is boring. In actual fact, quite the opposite is the case, and I'm always fascinated by the bizarre way that people interact with each other. Frankly, I'd much rather watch BB than some tedious drama (which is purely the result of someone's dull imagination) or some "comedy" which is inevitably not very funny.

Channel 4 are not renewing their contract when it expires next year but this was almost inevitable as with their remit to produce innovative and challenging programmes (although they seem to be rather short of these recently!), they were bound to drop BB once the media's interest began to wane and the sheep-like viewers switched their attention to something else they'd been told to watch. It seems that Sky is the most likely buyer of the series from Endemol after next year.

Personally, I'm disappointed that the only TV show I've bothered to watch over the summer is finished, and it won't be back until January. Oh well, I can spend a bit more time getting some work done I guess!
