I popped over for a quick visit earlier and they still seem to be on holiday, the only aircraft noted were 2 of the 4 Tonkas that were on static-display on Saturday(still in the same places)and a based Seaking.
Not happy !

The RAF tend to observe English rather than Scottish bank holidays.?
I thought that was the point of the annual gathering of photogs in the Lakes to capture the extra traffic utilising the southern LFA's on the Scottish Bank holiday at the start of August?

I agree with you Neil,but this isn't a Bank Holiday !
I think that Lossie gave everyone a day-off today because some of them worked at the Families Day on Saturday.
Does anyone else know ?

There were few movements today.

1 Tucano departing around 11ish and one jet at half 11 (I presume the Hawk.)

That was it.

That sounds feasible - sorry about the misread ( but it was the day after a Bank holiday ) - that's what happens when you retire - one day blends into another and all this " days off " stuff becomes irrelevant ! Roll Eyes
I seem to recall things usually got back to a very slow start after a long weekend and with the Saturday working I can see them not bothering at all on the Tuesday

Yes, today was an extra add-on day after yesterday's English bank holiday in lieu of Saturday's F&F day.

There's a couple of interesting noises from the sky at present - a helo (not a Seaking) and a turboprop, not sure if Lossie or Kinloss.
