I see from their site that the reds will be carrying out a display at a "closed military event" on lunchtime, Mon 27th September.
Is this part of anything 'bigger'??

No, its the RAF Shawbury landowners day. Owners of fields,clearings etc that allow DHFS to use them are given a look around, a flight in a heli to view their field from the air, fed in the officers mess and the Reds display aswell as a Chinook. Its a big thank you as they could not train with out their help.
The display is due to start bout 1220 L for about an hour

I went along to see the Red Arrows.Had a great view at the end of the runway. Saw them arrive, park up , then land, then take off later in the day. No Chinook though.
