Just for the sake of clarity, only a few hours ago, 38014 was carrying an AFRC tail. Newly painted with, from the top, "AFRC" then two horizontal lines where the tail stripe will be applied, then the serial. This is applied at the AFRC maintenance depot before the a/c goes to its new unit. No doubt it will be fully marked up when time allows. It is possible the unit number was already visible on the boom fins as they tend to be the first thing marked up. I couldn't read them from the roadside, as there were too many a/c in the way! Just checked Bollo's photos nothing on boom fins or nose. Stig.
