Received a phone call at 4pm yesterday 29th Aug to get over to Wellesbourne airfield for 4.45pm as Vulcan had phoned and asked to do impromptu 5min low level display whilst on its way to display at Silverstone.
Viewed from the control tower was awe inspiring though the visit to the tower 10mins later by very irrate local farmer complaining about his sheep and dogs jumping his fence did take a little of the shine of it!
XH558 just loves to say hi to its non airworthy contemporaries!
