Where have all the C-5s gone? - Never mind, statement retracted!

Having a look over past Mildenhall photos this evening, and we seem to be having very few Galaxy movements at the moment, anyone any idea why? The last one was 2-3 weeks ago I think?

I don't know Ben, have missed them for some time now and would love to see another, I think I heard one go over at the weekend (very high up mind you) but I'm sure someone would have posted somewhere if it entered or left Mildenhall. Where else do they go?

A lot of C5s have been routing directly up the med sea through the Gibraltar straight or via Rota and Moron AB's in Spain rather than doing the UK route and Ramstein route.
A C5 or two were noted this week overflying the UK to Ramstein but not many around these days.

Anyone know how many former active C-5's are going through the C-5M modernisation program?

MAM 2009 has it at 5, but I know they have now started work on upgrading the rest of the fleet.

69-0003 436th AW Dover is on conversion at Dobbins.
Just been informed that C-5B 83-1285 is the next one to be converted to an M..
and i see from me sbs log history C5A 69-0003 has been over the UK during May this year..
