very enjoyable day with alot of movements - just a pity with the weather (very dull)
had 3 alpha jets and a KC135 land at the heath, which was different from eagle-o-rama! (not posting them though as they came out very pants)
here are my efforts:

is he winking at me? Laughing (heavy crop)

Last two shots are great! You going to be at the Hall tomorrow?

With regards to being moved from the "private road", if it is the road that runs off alongside the viewing area, there is a sign saying public footpath that points straight down it, and I was always told the first 200m or so were public - private after that.

LTFT5 - 3 hour lunch break what is the world coming to!! Laughing

Ben - yeah we said this to the copper cause we were just before the dirttrack turns off to the right (which as far as i know is public as it leads to the church!) he said you have to move because the people that live up the top there and the USAF get funny about people being there, which is a pathetic excuse in my opinion! so we had no choice but to move Mad then he had the cheek to drive up the top and watch the eagles for over an hour!!

Yeah, I've seen them do that before. Best thing to do is go halfway down the track, to the point where you get a perfect head on of the Eagles taxiing to the runway. There you can argue that you are no where near the peoples house, and close enough to the viewing area for the USAF guys to be able to keep an eye on you.

Just noticed the second to last shot is the 48OG/48thFW bird (can't tell which). Jammy, I'm still going for that one Glare

that was 48OG - beautiful bird!
3004 was also out today which is "INCH" (the strike eagle pilot at waddington this year - nice bloke!)
also 001 was out twice which is one i have a diecast model of
also 492FS was out twice which i have a signed squadron print of Clap

Hi B0nd08,
I have been moved several times from that lane but by the USAF police, they have even asked for ID which they took and went to the car to check me out, I have since found out that they are not allowed to take the ID away from you, (not sure if this is 100% correct). When I asked the USAF police why I have to stay up the top of the lane they said that they had orders to stop people going down the lane, yet allowed a couple to take their dog for a walk right to the end where the lane turns right!
One rule for dog walkers another for spotters. Regards Dave

very strange, looks like some days you can get away with it and some you cant! this was the UK police that moved us on but the USAF police did see us up there and im guessing they were the ones who called the uk police to move us.

we went up that track then round to the left, 2 base guards came over and talked to us but they said we were ok so long as we were 15ft away from the fence but then loads of people started coming up where we were so we went so as not to upset them that was the start of august i think lots of people have been going up there they werent spotters as such just families with kids and the last couple of times we have been there, there has been a police car or two parked up that track
