Over Scunthorpe any Ideas

Mate of mine lives near Scunthorpe, witnessed this Unsure/Confused

Over Scunthorpe 24/08/09,6.10pm North, North North west 3 Aircraft looked to be Mig's or SU's following River Trent over Keadby about 1500 ft, one leading banking sharp, two following
Any Ideas to what they were?

Hi John,

I heard the aircraft you mentioned, loud and powerful. They sounded very different to the usual aircraft here. Wondered what they were - I'd been on the Trent at Alkborough about half an hour previously and would have seen them fly over. Roll Eyes
