This is what I do when the Reach flights dry up! If you look carefully, you can just see Alconbury approach lights in the top of this one!
this may well be Clarkson hanging out the window, he was on it!
Class 40, best of the best!

Class 40's best trains going, used to get one of these from Grantham to Finningley Air Show. Sadly most of these are being cut up at Kingsbury just outside Tamworth. The best ones were the Royal Corps of Transport Trains. Although a few nice ones do still exist at Derby and Rugby. When I worked in Shrewsbury I used to see some really groovy liveries of class 66's whilst heading through Tamworth, Stafford and Nuneaton. Will be back using the trains over the winter period. That's about as much as it goes with trains. Although I am off to York in a few weeks time and will be looking at visiting the train museum there.

Hi, thanks for the nice comments. I was just too young to catch the Westerns, I started spotting 01/78 aged 10. I have this picture of D1015 Western Champion at Eastleigh works open day
And me sat at the controls of D1041 Western Prince at the East Lancs Railway
