Hi guys after using my Yupi 7000 for many many years it has finally gave up on me. Whats wrong well the sound has gone but its still scanning. The coincidence is that I bought a new earpiece at fairford and it seems to be to do with that being used. Would you say its totalled or worth getting looked at. Have I broken the connection to the speaker. Anyway any advice is welcome. Best regards Graeme

Hi,
Try Coastal communications, they are based in Essex, type name in google and give them a call.
Had same sort of problem on my Vr 500, with postage it cost £26.

Can you still hear comms with an ear piece?

If so don't spend a fortune getting it fixed.

Buy an IPOD dock which has a 3.5mm jack plug and use that as an external speaker.

The dock will cost about £5.00 plus some batteries.

If you can't hear 'owt even with an earpiece it is worth talking to a specialist radio shop.

Good luck Cheers
